case study
A brand and a bilingual website for a restaurant on the seafront of Marathopoli, Messinia, made so guests can see the whole evening before they sit down.
SABOR sits on the pedestrian street of Marathopoli, facing the islet of Proti. Chef Katerina cooks seasonal, Messinian-inspired food, with sourdough and olive oil on every table and a wine list of Peloponnese, Greek and foreign labels.
In a seaside village, people pick where to eat on their phone, often in English, and often an hour before dinner. They want the menu, the prices, the hours and the way there before they decide. The restaurant needed a brand that felt like the place, and a site that answers all of that in a few seconds.
The brand: an olive mosaic ring above a SABOR / wine & cuisine wordmark, on warm off-white. It's simple enough for a menu, a sign or an Instagram post.
The website: one page that reads like a visit, from top to bottom:
Everything works in English and Greek, and it's built mobile first. It's designed and coded by hand, no template. We also cut a short video from the restaurant's photos for social media.
SABOR now has one link to put everywhere: Instagram bio, Google profile, WhatsApp replies. A guest can see what's cooking, what's in the glass, when the kitchen is open and how to get there, then book or call in one tap.
